Airmen depart for Combat Hammer
Airman 1st Class Tori Payne, 74th Aircraft Maintenance Unit crew chief performs a preflight systems check on an A-10C Thunderbolt II, Oct. 31, 2017, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Pilots, traveled to Eglin AFB, Fla., to participate in exercise COMBAT HAMMER. The exercise evaluates the effectiveness, maintainability, suitability and accuracy of precision guided munitions and high technology air to ground munitions from tactical deliveries against realistic targets with realistic enemy defenses. Moody’s team will be assessed and trained on how accurately and quickly a munition is built, loaded onto the aircraft and dropped from the aircraft onto a target.
