Task Force-Southeast Defense Support to Civil Authorities

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --

Ninth Air Force recently stood up as a Task Force-Southeast as directed by U.S. Northern Command under U.S. Army North as one of many regional task forces. Ninth AF became the first Air Force-led task forces to assist in Defense Support to Civil Authorities in response to COVID-19.

TF-SE’s area of operation consists of FEMA Regions III and IV (Alabama, D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. TF-SE continues to plan for current and future operations for Defense Support to FEMA Covid-19, or DSFC19.
