Eight Team Moody members from the 23rd Wing, 347th Rescue Group and 23d Medical Group flew in an HC-130J Combat King II during pilot proficiency training.

The training allowed aircrew members to practice standard and emergency procedures during flight.

Pilots tested the HC-130J’s capabilities to perform a multitude of flying techniques that aid search and rescue efforts, air refueling and airdrop operations.

The HC-130J’s mission is to rapidly deploy and execute combatant commander directed operations.
