Brig. Gen. David A. Mineau is the Vice Commander, Fifteenth Air Force, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. Fifteenth Air Force oversees all of Air Combat Command’s air superiority, global precision attack, combat search and rescue, battle management, precision strike integration and deployable heavy operational repair units across 13 wings and three direct reporting units, ensuring the operational readiness of over 47,000 Airmen and 800 aircraft.
Brig. Gen. Mineau received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1994. He is a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and is a command pilot with more than 2,100 flying hours in the F-15C Eagle, F-16C Fighting Falcon, HH-60 Pave Hawk, KC-135 Stratotanker and E-3 Sentry. He has flown combat sorties over Iraq in support of operations Southern Watch and Desert Fox; deployed to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Iraq; and commanded a squadron, group and wing.
