Firefighters smoke rapid intervention training

Firefighters from the 23rd Civil Engineer Squadron pose for a photo after rapid intervention fire training, Aug. 3, 2017, at Moody Air Force Base, Ga. Rapid intervention refers to the rescue of downed firefighters when they find themselves in trouble. During the course, Moody firefighters, as well as a Lowndes County firefighter, learned how to perform self-rescue, team rescue, and basic skills such as CPR and various carries in order to transport victims.
